Status is gained by two kinds of folks:
those optimizing for status and those whose status comes by creating value
Can be difficult to tell which is which from a distance
Perhaps the hack is to avoid people optimizing for exec jobs. Don’t care about titles, don’t come through the usual search firm pipeline, but who you know can do the job (immediately or in ~12m). Pay them properly, give the title later if needed.
It might be a decent filter for career grifters. So far, my hit rate has been a lot higher

Kudos to @RevenueCat for shipping an update on their purchases SDK last night. True gigachads. Now we can all build apps on Xcode 27 🫶🏼

Hi friends! The RevenueCat SDK was failing to compile on the new Xcode 27 beta, but we've pushed out a fix with the native iOS SDK version 5.78.0! Update to the latest SDK version and you'll be all good to go.

In May, I tested increasing the price (without doing an A/B test), and it seems the conversion rate plummeted.
I think I should change it back or at least test it properly.
Btw, this is the RevenueCat AI thing from the dashboard. It seems pretty smart.
