Racing the clock with #stage4 #PancreaticCancer it is all about time… wanting more… fighting for it… feeling the weight of time… having no idea how long I have, only knowing that I don’t have long. It’s a lot. ❤️💜

Remembering to breathe while testing to see if I can get accepted in a clinical trial. The trial is “first time in humans” which means it may contain the miracle I seek: more time 💜 #PancreaticCancer @pmcancercentre #Clinicaltrial #stage4

Agreed, @CancerFinalGirl! My first attempt into the e online support community was a stage 4 #PancreaticCancer support group that had a LOT of people joining to share their grief over a loved one’s passing. Very triggering! Loved ones need support, but it was the wrong forum.
Just a reminder: cancer support groups are not an appropriate place for caregivers to discuss: 1. How annoying their partner with #cancer is 2. How they are the real victim for having to take care of a loved one. 3. How they are thinking about abandoning their sick family members

Before my sudden cancer diagnosis, my life was all about being a #mother … to the best of my ability… now, with #terminalcancer it’s all about preparing my daughters for life to continue as fully as possible once I go. This sucks. #PancreaticCancer

Life with #terminal #cancer… still in a treatment “pause” while we continue to sort out the bleeding issues, so I can resume treatment and slow down these 🤬 tumours. #PancreaticCancer @pmcancercentre @letswinpc @PanCancerCanada

In terms of my #stage4 #PancreaticCancer treatment: I am still on a pause with the #clinicaltrial drug while we address the internal bleed that remains. I have faith in my team at @pmcancercentre and a good feeling that things will improve 🧵 1/3

I had radiation on a metastatic tumour in my colon and take a drug called Sulcrate 4x/day for the stomach bleed. We now investigate the liver stent placed in January to see if it is causing a bleed for me and if so, we replace. 🧵2/3

I am ready to resolve this bleed, and resume the clinical trial. I am optimistic that I will get more time to live my life with those I absolutely LOVE. I won’t survive this cancer, but I am still here… and I am ready to do WHATEVER IT TAKES 🧵3/3

This Mother’s Day, I am sending love to all of the mothers who are fighting cancer, to the mothers like me who are fighting a losing battle, and to those who could not become mothers because of cancer. ❤️#PancreaticCancer #MothersDay2022

Diary of a terminal cancer patient: side effects from radiation hit at 48 hours 😳 I am thankful that I was able to get out and enjoy company before and after the “effects” recovery. I hope the radiation worked and I can resume treatment this week! #PancreaticCancer #stage4

First targeted radiation treatment was a success. Time will tell re: side effects. Treatment was letting the machine move around me while I held still… hard to do when they are playing classic 80s Paula Abdul! #PancreaticCancer @pmcancercentre

Diary of a terminal cancer patient: spent the morning getting things on the “to-do” list done. I love this feeling of accomplishment! This afternoon, I have my first radiation treatment to address a troubling metastatic tumour. Onward! #PancreaticCancer

My cancer treatment has so far included Surgeries (inc. Whipple) Chemotherapy (2x) Phase 1 Clinical Trial Drug … and now we add radiation! Diagnosed with #PancreaticCancer in April 2020, diagnosed #stage4 in July 2021 and I’M STILL HERE! (And so very grateful to be alive) 💜

We are pausing my current treatment so I can have radiation on a troublesome tumour in my colon and resolve a stomach bleed (medication). Then, I resume trial drug. I am grateful for the outstanding care I receive at @pmcancercentre #PancreaticCancer #stage4
