Iβve trained thousands of leaders on genAI. Iβve never said βjust practice.β Because the response is βYeah but like how?β Want to *actually* train your team? Three ways to start:

Listen: Mastering genAI requires new behavior and a new mindset.
Telling folks to practice on genAI is like telling your kid to get better at math by practicing math. They already KNOW that's how you get better.
What we need is guidance on what that looks like. Let's dive in:
1. Tell your team WHAT to practice.
Give them challenges. It doesnβt have to be a work problem - give them creative problems to solve! The weirder the better. Creativity sticks in a way that productivity doesnβt.
2. Get your team talking like humans.
Our brains are never going to naturally speak to a computer screen like a human. Put folks together working on generative AI so they maintain a human-like interaction. It helps them treat ChatGPT like another member of the team.
3. Ask it what to ask it.
ChatGPT and other LLMs are remarkably helpful when it comes to getting started. Hereβs what you do: Have your people open up ChatGPT. Tell ChatGPT something about themselves - a hobby, an issue theyβre having, a personal problem, anything. Then ask ChatGPT how it can help them solve that problem. Show your team this is helpful beyond just the scope of work - theyβll never stop using it.
These are just some of the fundamentals of how I train companies.

Is the fear of the unknown hindering our learning? We build walls of justification, clinging to comfort instead of truth. Educators face this challenge daily, pushing themselves to question and grow. - Siggy A, Newport Mesa Unified School District
