Fun new drinking game: every time somebody asks me how to get great at social media without spending so much money or time, do a shot. In related news, I now have alcohol poisoning

Did Jalen Brunson punch Adam Silver’s grandma or something? That’s gonna be the only explanation for this. #nbafinals

This is the textbook definition of a landing spot flagrant. Brunson was called for a less egregious one earlier in the season. Wembanyama avoids it. If he had been called for one, he would have incurred an automatic suspension for Game 6 (if necessary).
Brunson landing on Wemby’s foot and injuring his left ankle. No landing space foul called, which could’ve been Wemby’s 4th flagrant foul penalty point and would’ve triggered a suspension for a potential Game 6.

Wemby has now gotten away with two flagrant fouls against a guy a foot and a half smaller. Disgusting. #nbafinals

Not saying as a Knicks fan, but as a fan of basketball: This is utter BS. If people are willing to travel hundreds of miles for a game, let them. Spurs won in MSG with few of their fans in the building. Just play the game and don't complain.

If/when the @nyknicks win, I think in honor of #1 fan @BenStiller I'll have to rewatch Mystery Men. Released in 1999, features the underrated song "Back in 1999," and obviously the year Spurs beat Knicks in finals last. Will be a nice bookend to 27 years of waiting.

I think it would've been a few lifetimes, bro...
Josh Hart: “I got a special shoutout for OG because he saved me, at least for this game, a lifetime of regret.”

Really loved this chat with @teresasperti —so many great insights in her latest report, please check it out!
While retail media investment is growing, the relationship between brands and retailers has failed to keep pace. In our latest podcast, @teresasperti , Director of Arktic Fox, joins Jeremy Goldman to discuss the Inside Digital & eCommerce 2026 report, which reveals that 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟲% 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. Tune in as they break down the report's key findings, including:   • Why scaling up eCommerce infrastructure is critical for retailers looking to protect market share and boost performance   • Why brands are pivoting away from traditional consumer marketing to optimize for AI algorithms and automated decision-making   • How brands can realign software investments to directly fuel customer loyalty and deeper personalization 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: rethink.industries/podcast/a… #RetailInnovation #EcommerceStrategy #DigitalShelf #RetailMedia #FutureOfRetail #AIinRetail

Was talking to my coworkers about how Twitter/X is doing and if I should bring my account back. How vibrant would you say the conversation is on here these days?

Who paid for this? Seriously asking. Did the American people? Taxpayers paid for this?
I’ve teamed up with @KidRock to deliver two simple messages to the American people: GET ACTIVE EAT REAL FOOD.

🚨 The guy who built Anthropic’s defenses against AI bioterrorism just quit. Mrinank Sharma led Anthropic’s Safeguards Research Team. His job was literally making sure Claude doesn’t help bad actors do bad things. His resignation letter: “The world is in peril. And not just from AI, or bioweapons, but from a whole series of interconnected crises.” He also said he “repeatedly seen how hard it is to truly let our values govern our actions” inside the organization. This is the company that positioned itself as the “safe” AI lab. The one founded specifically because OpenAI wasn’t careful enough. Now their safety lead is walking away, saying the pressure to “set aside what matters most” is real. He’s leaving to study poetry. Not joining a competitor. Not starting a startup. Poetry. When your AI safety researcher chooses poems over production, that tells you something about what’s happening behind closed doors.
Today is my last day at Anthropic. I resigned. Here is the letter I shared with my colleagues, explaining my decision.

Transparency is good! Now, if only X could be purchased by someone who had the money to improve the algorithm
We know the algorithm is dumb and needs massive improvements, but at least you can see us struggle to make it better in real-time and with transparency. No other social media companies do this.

Once ChatGPT starts running ads, OpenAI is basically saying the gen AI race is now about who can turn attention into money. ChatGPT runs on trust; if answers feel sponsored vs. smart, ChatGPT risks becoming “search, but awkward.” (& thanks Reuters for including my analysis)

So excited to do this again! For the second year in a row, I compiled a data-driven analysis of the broad topics @eMarketer clients researched the most. Are you shocked that AI made the list? Probably not, but can you guess what else trended? content-na1.emarketer.com/em…

September 10th, Warner Bros. Discovery stock was $12.54. Now, it's $27.08. I don't know who wins the bidding war, Netflix or Paramount—but whomever had $WBD stock certainly did...

This deal, BTW, still needs to get traditional regulatory approval too. Trump can try to influence his DOJ not to sue to block it, but an indp judge would get the final say.
💡Re CFIUS, this bid as structured prob won't trip CFIUS limits. Even if did, Trump's the ultimate decider —Real issue is our democratic/capitalistic system incentivizes shareholders to take best deal, even if structure gives sov wealth funds & POTUS son in law soft power/access

The biggest thing on sale this Cyber Monday? Easy: Warner Bros. Discovery. Bids are due today for its streaming business and film studios, and the biggest players interested are Netflix, Comcast, and Paramount. Thanks to @bbc for having me on to discuss what it all means.
