This reminds me of Jeremiah’s description of Judah before the exile. Jeremiah breaks down their trust in the Exodus, the Temple, prayer, and the sacrifices because they were all empty and their hearts were evil. They sinned in darkness while clinging to the gloss of true religion

On my first read through of the Partial Report of the PCA Study Committee on Christian Nationalism I found it was very good: Balanced, pastoral, practical. They addressed all of the concerns I had when I wrote the overture.
