Today is Flag Day, the US Army’s Birthday, President Donald Trump’s Birthday, and now every June 14th on my birthday will be “Sheriff Joe Arpaio Day” in my hometown of Fountain Hills, Arizona, by official proclamation!
This proclamation was awarded by Mayor Gerry Friedel and the Fountain Hills Town Council on my 94th birthday party last Friday June 12th at the Fountain Hills, Arizona Community Center. I greatly appreciate the hundreds who were able to attend and share their words of support!
I appreciate and am honored by Fountain Hill’s elected leaders, especially my friend Mayor Friedel, for the recognition and the proclamation’s kind words including “…Joe Arpaio has dedicated a lifetime to public service, including a distinguished career in law enforcement spanning many decades…and has continued to engage with residents, support local activities, participate in community events, and contribute to the spirit and character that makes Fountain Hills a special place to call home…a friend, neighbor, and valued member of the Fountain Hills community…having a life marked by perseverance, service, dedication, and relationships built across generations…whose commitment to service and involvement have contributed to the strength and character of our community...best wishes for continued health, happiness, and many years ahead."
Thank you to all for your recognition and support on my 94th birthday today, now known as Fountain Hill's first "Joe Arpaio Day!"
