Yesterday, I posted about the Outlier Ventures-backed
$FUNGI, a DeFAI project about to sprout from the darkness 🍄
Today, Outlier Ventures Portfolio is the top user-searched category on
@coingecko.
Who are they and why should you be keeping your eyes on their portfolio?
@OVioHQ have been around since 2014, known as the most active Web3 investor and world's leading Web3 accelerator, as reported by
@MessariCrypto.
Their foresight is remarkable. They were betting on AI agents back in 2017/2018(!) when they led a funding round for
$FET. Fast forward seven years and your first gm of the day might come from an AI agent 🤖👋
This vision extends beyond AI to sectors like RWA and Zero Knowledge where they hold specialized Base Camps, nurturing the best teams to build bigger, better and stronger 📈💪
Outlier Ventures are also particularly bullish on DePINs and last year ran a DePIN Base Camp with
@peaq - the layer-1 blockchain for DePIN, with backing from
@borderless_cap.
They selected six early-stage startups:
AYDO - Integrates 3rd-party IoT to DePINs, cutting hardware costs.
Kaisar Network - Decentralized GPU computing for AI, powered by
$KAI.
Roam Network - Rewards for sharing mobile network data via app.
ROVR - High-precision digital twin of Earth for 3D AI.
TouchBrick - AI-driven cybersecurity for data protection.
YOM - Cloud gaming DePIN, transforming gaming access.
With the backing of Outlier Ventures and tailored DePIN support from
$PEAQ, these projects are built for success and will be worth watching.
Outlier Ventures also offer an Ascent Token Launch program designed to boost project success at token launch. One of its notable alumni,
$AUKI, is poised to spearhead the breakout spatial computing trend in DePIN for 2025.
There are frankly too many projects to name that should be on your watchlist, but thankfully Outlier Ventures have made one for us, which I will link below.
Meanwhile, if you want to know what lies beyond Web3, then seek out their Post-Web thesis 👀
