Sorry to hear of this great athlete’s passing. I remember playing basketball against Butch at Minor when he knockout out two of his own teeth diving for a loose ball. Knew then that he was headed for greatness in whatever sport he chose.
The Alabama Sports Hall of Fame mourns the passing of 2025 Inductee Charlie "Butch" Moore. Moore was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers out of Minor High School in the fifth round of the 1971 MLB Draft. He made his debut with the Brewers on September 8, 1973.

The AL1 GOP race is on the ballot. Yes. And yes, Senator Britt endorsed Rhett Marques. But the contest does not count, per a special election that Governor Ivey called and in which Marques is running in on Aug. 11. He's also announced plans to run in AL2, not AL1.
