Breaking-BC Premier David Eby announced his Govt will spend $15 million to advance a 25,000 MW wind and solar project in Alberta to ship renewable energy back to BC. He demanded Alberta immediately end its “ no more renewables” legislation, which he said had cost tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in investment. Although he had no private sector proponent and no specific location for the project, Eby said the very fabric of Confederation depended on Premier Smith immediately approving the project.
