Agree, but don't expect change. Wasn't long ago when smart women were burned at the stake, drowned, beheaded, shot.
The smarter women are, the more hostility they face.

Yes. I was a young journalist in a small city in northern Indiana. Covered lots of local 1976 festivals and events. Public generally optimistic. But 6 months later, voters ousted GOP Pres George Ford and elected Democrat Jimmy Carter, who exuded joy. But change didn't last long.

It’s gotten so ridiculous that coal plants and chemical factories simply had to send the EPA an email to get exempt from pollution rules. As pollution causes more cancer, more asthma attacks, and more flooded communities, the EPA is abandoning their mission—and us.
