I’ll die on this hill - this was the moment the Grizzlies trajectory changed. We’ve been in free fall since that night.

I am already exhausted of listening to you guys argue about draft picks. It’s Monday morning. Doesn’t anybody have any work to do?

Man, what a wonderful year to pick 3rd. Even 2nd would have been a different kind of pressure. Now we are in “opportunity” zone.
I’m not sure this is a year you want to have the number one pick if you’re a GM. Ungodly pressure to get it right, knowing that a couple of these guys are likely to be future All-NBA players.

Happy for CTJ.
The Bucks have officially announced the hiring of Taylor Jenkins as their new coach. Portland today joined New Orleans in saying it will commence a search for a new coach while also considering interim coach Tiago Splitter for the full-time post. Chicago has the league’s other current coaching vacancy but intends to hire a new head of basketball operations first.

I don’t follow this person. It’s not labeled as an “ad”. Elon just inserts this stuff into our timelines as he continues his effort to red pill the world.

☆This offseason isn’t about what the Grizzlies add. It’s about who they decide to be. From the Jaren Jackson Jr. move to the draft to Ja Morant… everything points to one question: What is Memphis building?☆ ⬇️ memphisflyer.com/how-the-202… ✍️🏾Words by Shy | #GrindCity

Is there any precedent for an NBA playing home games in another US city other than due to a natural disaster?

Public Service Announcement: if you cannot film your child at eye level, then you don’t get to. 200 parents would love to capture long form video. As a society, we have to stop doing this.

Memphis didn’t misunderstand LeBron. It recognized the pattern. This isn’t just about basketball. It’s about perception, investment, and why Memphis keeps getting the short end of the stick. Full breakdown ⬇️ memphisflyer.com/lebron-said… #WordsByShy ✍🏾

The plan has been to take from our aquifer all along. Elon picked Memphis for a reason. He doesn’t give a shit, and believes he’s above repercussion. Fines don’t matter. Lawsuits don’t matter. He got us.
Big update to this story: xAI confirmed that it has paused work on the Colossus Water Recycling Plant. Memphis Mayor Paul Young also had some strong, choice words about what the city expects to happen. dailymemphian.com/section/me…

Do you remember in The Lion King when scar told the hyenas if they helped him become king he will make their lives better and then their lives didn’t get better and he blamed them for it. And upon realizing this, the hyenas ate him. Do with that story what you will.

Great work, @TheTNHoller. You just know this grinds Tray Clavis’ gears.
These are the Twitter/X accounts with the most engagement so far in 2026. I suppose I had some intuition for how bad it was, but jeez, this is what you get when the ecosystem is broken.

Look up "facts" versus "opinion." If you qualify it with "for you," fine, but this Middle age white dude would take Memphis bad and good over the sanitized, milquetaost, bachelorette bus culture of Nashvegas any time. Except for the Mother Church, of course.

In most families, grandma & grandpa are still working full time despite being in their 60s or 70s, because they can’t afford to retire, you unbelievable dolt.
JD Vance on child care: "One of the ways that you might be able to relieve a little bit of pressure on people who are paying so much for daycare is make it so that, you know, maybe grandma and grandpa wants to help out a little bit more."
