Labour’s manifesto committed it to ‘a fairer Britain, where everyone lives well for longer’.
In a blog and working paper, @joefd says international experience tells us that, to reach that aim, we need a health mission delivery plan ⬇️

The PM is set to announce a new set of short-term targets to back up his 5 missions. But NHS access targets alone will not deliver national renewal.
While it's not a quick-win, he needs to keep his eye on the bigger prize.

As part of a comprehensive strategy, accompanied by investment, health equity targets did help reverse a long-term trend in widening inequality in the 2000s.

Two Christmas trees were procured and went up in each building, on with blue and silver baubles and one red and gold. I chatted to the guys putting our one up as we used to play football with them.

Later on I passed them again taking the decorations back off again, and I asked him why?
Apparently Prescott had objected to having blue decorations in his office, and demanded they swapped them round for the red ones!
