Trump spent a decade attacking Obama’s Iran deal as the ultimate symbol of American weakness. Now, says @LeeSmithDC, his administration may be reviving the same playbook: cash, concessions, and the hope that Tehran changes course. What changed?

Where’s Karine Jean-Pierre?
The Vice President of the United States thinks WWII ended through a negotiation 😳

Would like to see reporters in L.A. take to the streets and ask passersby whether they voted to raise their own sales tax.

Defeat is a fact, Surrender is a choice. Both Germany and Japan were defeated in June of 44 but Germany fought on until May 45 and Japan until August. We decided the surrender policy in 1942.
JD Vance: If you go back to WW2 or every major conflict in human history, they all ended with some kind of negotiation.
Community note
World War II ended with unconditional surrenders by Germany on May 8, 1945, and Japan on September 2, 1945, rather than negotiation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconditi… archives.gov/milestone-docu… nationalww2museum.org/war/topics/end…

Problem was that Obamacare taxed normal people so that they couldn't afford to see a doctor.
But taxing wealth so normal people can afford to see a doctor and not go bankrupt over inhalers is radical left. OK

Just came back from the store with my new hand cart, tested it, and now want to once again thank the Sumerians for their unparalleled contribution to humanity.

Look at the last paragraph in Bernie's missive. It's exactly the same thing he's been selling for 40 years. He has created nothing. He has made no one wealthier. He has no ideas about how to create anything or make anyone wealthier. He can only gin up class envy. He's a monster.

Elon Musk has enough money to buy me that vintage Martin OM-42 I've had my eye on at Norm's, but he refuses. I'm so pissed at him.

Wish I didn't know now about Eric Alper's mind what I didn't know then, when I sometimes answered those cute questions.
The world's first trillionaire Elon Musk could fix a shocking number of global problems and barely dent his fortune and become the greatest human who ever lives. I counted 30 of them. The full list is up now. zurl.co/04Tnv

PSA: If you have a little boy or were a little boy, you know how much little boys love big machines like tractors, excavators, and backhoes. Inspired by that, I just started a YouTube channel: youtube.com/@ClassicalBoysMu…. The content is artfully edited videos of machines in action, accompanied by soundtracks of great classical music—you know, the stuff we think may make little brains grow bigger. They're a lot of fun to watch. Right now there are about 20 videos, from 2-8 minutes, and I intend to add new ones weekly. I like to think that kids who are entertained by the videos will, for the rest of their lives, associate these machines with the most beautiful music ever written—which they'll have developed the same love for that they already have for the machines. Please give the channel a try (no child required), and if it strikes a chord, remember to like and subscribe. Feedback is definitely welcome. youtube.com/@ClassicalBoysMu…

First date scenario: "Nice to finally meet you." "Yeah, you too." "Did you see the SpaceX IPO? Amazing, right? I read there were 4400 millionaires made." "Imagine if Elon Musk did something to benefit others with his trillion." "Check, please."
Imagine if Elon Musk did something to benefit others with his trillion.

It’s irrelevant that he’s misstating the racial/ethnic composition of the jury. What’s relevant is that he’s ratifying what the attorney repping Emmett Till’s murderers told the jury: “Every last Anglo-Saxon one of you has the courage to set these men free.” Which they quickly did. Would’ve been faster, one juror later said, if they hadn’t stopped to have a soda.
Don Lemon claims the Karmelo Anthony trial had “an all white jury.” The video was posted to his YouTube Thursday evening. Still running with this false narrative. This is the same guy constantly whining about misinformation and right wing propaganda.

Choosing whom to vote for this November should be easy. The choice is primarily between those who celebrate Elon Musk’s successes and those whose first instinct is to confiscate what he’s built.

NYT: Dissent is the highest form of patriotism, 2008-2016 and 2020-2024 excepted.
From @TheAthletic: It wouldn’t be a World Cup without a problematic host. Russia in 2018. Qatar in 2022. "Now the U.S. is on a slide under humanity’s microscope," our columnist writes. "They’re making fun of us overseas." nyti.ms/3Qkqaki

“Elon Musk got rich by trading stocks” is in the top three of the stupidest things ever uttered on this site…but only in the top 20 of things uttered by US Senators…just since yesterday.
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. While working people struggle to get by, the billionaire class is becoming the TRILLIONAIRE class. It's disgusting. I'm fighting to tax the rich so we stop rewarding trading stocks over punching clocks.

Man who has built literally nothing, or ever met a payroll, knows only how to take from those who have.
Reason #1,000,000,000,000 why we should tax the rich.

In which a United States Senator ⬇️ demonstrates the need for a Constitutional amendment that says anyone running for elective office, federal or state, must first demonstrate the ability to run a business and meet a payroll for, at minimum, five consecutive years.

Shame on some of the first 4,000 people who have commented here showing no empathy for the common man and immigrants who are not trillionaires. May God have mercy on you. Do you understand why I post less and less, it's because of the lack of empathy for the people Jesus died for

Even Steve Jobs would marvel at Elon. It's too bad he's not here to shut up the morons.

Elon Musk built the future instead. Love him or hate him… Nobody has changed more industries in a single lifetime. Payments. Cars. Energy. Space. Social Media. Communications. AI. History won’t remember the people who said it couldn’t be done. It will remember the people who did it anyway. Congratulations Elon. The first trillionaire. 🚀
