A key concern is skyrocketing power prices.
In the first 3 months of this year, wholesale power prices on the PJM grid jumped 76% compared to the same period last year. Capacity costs, which ensure the grid has enough supply during periods of highest demand, rose by 400%. 6/7
What PJM looks like a year from now will depend on the choices the organization — and its regulators — make in the next two months, according to the White House official speaking on condition of anonymity.
