I think it's time to move from "seldom" to "never" re this Nazi noncey hellsite. Would recommend Bsky, it's pretty usable if you block all tankies on immediate sight (their block is fully nuke, unlike the one here)

The film was about him In the film he got beaten for this, got thrown in jail twice and segregated in school for it. It’s his story. You want him to be excluded from his story?
No we mustn’t handle this with grace. No we mustn’t push through - fuck that. They KNEW this person had a specific proclivity. They needed a Tourette’s ambassador to go and rep the film & the syndrome? Fine. Sorry, Johnny Boy, we’re picking SOMEONE ELSE. Simple. But they didn’t

It’s more Louis Theroux’s great signature move – pseudo-naïveté knowingly utilised to get people to say exactly what they think, or exactly how things are
great moment where the truth of settler-colonialism meets the fragile illusion of western liberalism

I met a retired economics professor last year who, in the span of 5 minutes, lectured at us: - that the resource curse was real, look at Saudis who are rich without doing anything for it, bla bla moral hazard - that estate taxes were immoral, he had paid enough taxes while living

Sydney people: any idea what's happening on the corner of Elizabeth and Liverpool outside Museum Station? It looked like they'd nearly finished the bike lane infrastructure but they now seem to be digging everything up again...

This seems a bit odd - I could understand banning power banks flat out, and why they're not allowed in hold luggage, but surely once you've got one then using it is neither here nor there? If anything, safer than being in your big cabin bag in the bins... 9news.com.au/national/singap…

A retired person living in a house they own outright with a guaranteed pension is not working class under any meaningful definition of the term, even if they own several cloth caps and whippets and only eat pie and chips (2/2)

The figure we know as "JD Vance" was likely a historic person only in the sense that King Arthur was. A political leader by that name probably lived in the early third millennium, but the figure that's come down to us in the sources is likely an amalgamation of traditions, beliefs, aspirations, and real individuals who were used to express the ideals of the right wing community.

Fascinated by this one - no idea when the post was from but it's well over a year ago and the guy's an irritating tankie-or-equivalent, and also very obviously the tweet doesn't do any of those things

- Bad news, boss, the lead singer from My Chemical Romance won't be able to attend your 80th birthday performance of beloved genre-fusing acoustic-guitar-led Latino pop and soul songs this year! Sorry, my screen-reader is playing up, can you summarise that for me? - No Way, José
