This 👏🏽 is 👏🏽 the 👏🏽 way!!! Teams in @Jira can now directly assign any work item to Cursor agents! This is big. If you're not at this point in your agentic engineering journey, it should definitely be a goal... and @Atlassian just made it easier to reach. I remember the first time we integrated agents into our sprints. The agent picked up 15 eng days of work, we ran out of tickets, and had to pull in more from future sprints! If you're ready to explore enabling AI native workflows right from Jira, check out their blog post: fandf.co/4fwAsrx --- Thanks to Atlassian for giving me early access to this announcement and for your partnership. #AtlassianPartner

We continue to make @Atlassian tools the place for AI-driven software teams. Teams in Jira can now directly assign any work item to @cursor_ai and a cloud agent will get to work. And it works both ways. If you're working with Cursor in your IDE or terminal, you can keep your teams fully up to date in Jira with our native Teamwork Graph CLI. Context is instantly shared, so there is less tool switching and more time in flow. It's now available with every paid Jira subscription. More here: atlassian.com/blog/company-n…

🔥 Sharing a fresh experiment we just conducted in Atlassian. We taught our Rovo Dev agent to use - Confluence for spec-driven development - Jira for task tracking - A Kubernetes cluster of cloud sandboxes It was able to autonomously run for many hours and one-shot an entire project that would take many days of manual work.

Hear @monkchips sit down with @kunchenguid, Lead Principal Engineer at @Atlassian working on Rovo Dev, to explore what “context engineering” really means in practice, and why it matters far more than one-shot “vibe coding” demos for real software teams. redmonk.com/videos/context-e…

AI so powerful for your organization that it causes a cultural shift? That's Rovo Dev for @axelspringer, according to Martin Bild, Head of Product Excellence. Axel Springer uses Rovo Dev to provide AI agents for developers to automate tasks, generate code, and manage workflows within Jira and Bitbucket, supporting new levels of efficiency. I have a new piece up. It's a bit of a rant, even for me, so buckle in. A lot of "thought leaders" have been making their mortgages lately off of bits on how AI is going to replace software engineers, particularly entry-level engineers. stackoverflow.blog/2024/06/1…

It's easy to generate code, but not so easy to generate good code. Contributor @mipsytipsy makes the case for hiring junior developers and treating your engineering team like a delicate ecosystem, and why GenAI tools can only take so devs far. stackoverflow.blog/2024/06/1…

Great to hear from @rhein_wein, CTO of @DeveloperXM, on real world developer experience. How do you know which interventions to make in order to improve the DX? Systems can't talk to us but people can. Ask your developers what the problems are. #atlassianpresentsunleash
