Today, 78 years ago, my Uncle John Flynn left lreland on May 4, 1948. He came by plane and worked a couple of farms in Ontario. He heard there was good money as a faller in BC, so Vancouver, Prince George, Minstrel and Harbledown Island are a few places where he worked. He established a successful path for my dad in 1952 Thomas and for my mother in 1962 Elizabeth O'Keeffe. John's sisters Norah in 1956 and Teresa in 1965 arrived because of his pioneering way. Over these eight decades O'Flynns, O'Keeffes, Fitzgibbons, Keoghs, O'Sullivans, have found their way to Vancouver because of John Flynn. May his memory be eternal and thank you 🇨🇦
