Inherently disordered chemist @DTUtweet. Applied porous materials. Pretty much winging it but having fun meanwhile. 🤙

This summer, the 46th ICCC will take place in Denmark. As part of the conf., @carolhua.bsky.social and I are org. a symposium on chemical sensing using inorg. and hybrid materials (inc. MOFs). We would be happy to see contrib. from researchers at all stages of their careers.

Due to some unforeseen consequences, we have an immediate opening for a 2-yr PD position on the automation of MOF thin-film synthesis at Technical University of Denmark. There will be an official opening soon, but any1 who is interested can reach out to me directly. #chemtwitter

It's a new year, and I think the time for me to leave X has come. The algorithm increasingly promotes racism, sexism and division between cultures. From now on, I'll be available at the place where the sky still is blue. Highly recommended.

#EUROMOF2025 this is not OK, opening and all 6 plenaries are male, and only 2 out of 11 keynotes are female. 2025 and we still have #manel 🤦🏻‍♀️ in a field with many outstanding female PIs. Please #repost and maybe organizers will reconsider…

Computer science is leading the way. Let's abandon journals, move everything to preprints, and evolve from there with some sort QC system that picks the good/interesting preprints (computer science does this via conferences).
Replying to @aemonten
Journals are dead. Every field need to abandon them. the peer-review process was always about selecting articles, not verifying them. Computer science has shown the way: open-prepublication (arxiv), allow the whole field to review and discuss the pre-published papers, then conferences select the most interesting one for live presentation and discussion with the peers.

Be like Finland. @DTUtweet should cut their deal with MDPI ASAP.

From a commercial viewpoint, Sci.Rep. has been a cash cow. It rides on the Nature brand, and has the longest list of editors I've ever seen. AFAIK anyone with a PhD simply can register. SN just has to sit and watch while the APC rolls in. It's the future of for profit publishing.

So she was first author on his key paper - in fact she's on most of his key papers, yet she didn't get the Nobel Prize, in spite of the fact they could have given 3 awards, not just 2. Explain to me how STEM is not institutionally sexist.
Congratulations to our 2024 medicine laureate Victor Ambros ✨ This morning he celebrated the news of his prize with his colleague and wife Rosalind Lee, who was also the first author on the 1993 'Cell' paper cited by the Nobel Committee. #NobelPrize

Especially, if you predominantly publish in MDPI = big 🚩
Stop publishing in MDPI Journals Please

For some reason @DTUtweet has a MDPI membership. Should really be reconsidered. Maybe join @DORAssessment instead??
