Resist the urge to learn a language just for utilitarian reasons. Learning languages exercises your brain, helps you connect with a different culture, and makes life less dull. so fuck it, learn Uzbek, learn Greek, learn Urdu, why not
This is my tier list of languages. I ranked them by how useful they are. I believe the main purpose of a language is to be a tool for communication.

so if anything, be practical (knowing English is obviously very useful) but be niche: if you're visiting Barcelona, learn some Catalan (Γ©s divertit!), or Czech in Prague
