What a week in Cannes! 🇫🇷 As the Frankencoin Association members are on their way back to Switzerland, we wanted to share some highlights. @stable_summit - on Friday and Saturday, @Luzius and @jonk93 participated in panels and keynotes, and somehow Frankencoin became the talk of the town. @EthCC - on Monday, @jonk93 joined a @MiCA_Alliance panel for a deep dive into the regulated side of DeFi, a fascinating discussion on what “decentralized” actually means under MiCA. In the afternoon, @jonk93 went on to the main conference to speak about Swiss franc stablecoins in front of a packed room. By Tuesday - Frankencoin was suddenly one of the most talked about projects in Cannes! On Wednesday, @PaoloDiStef officially joined the Frankencoin Association team, as Director of Collateral Management, and he's already hitting the ground running, with first projects in the pipeline on day one! In addition, @jonk93 joined an @ethereumfndn stablecoin workshop, with participants from @LiquityProtocol, @SkyEcosystem, @CurveFinance, @polarisfinance_, @ambire, @protocol_fx, @ether_fi, @gnosis_, and others, discussing on how to move the space forward together. To wrap things up, on Thursday Frankencoin closed the week co-hosting together with @chain_security what quite a few people described as the best side event of the week - with the EthCC pre-after-party Apéro! The cheese was insane. The turnout too. All of this alongside countless high-quality meetings. One thing is clear: DeFi is taking note of Frankencoin. And RWAs are coming. We've come a long way with Frankencoin since I joined the association at the beginning of this year. As we're nearing the holidays I've taken the time and written a little "State of the Union" about Frankencoin. Enjoy, and I'm looking forward to many comments and suggestions!

There's a growing awareness to onchain FX and the importance of non USD stablecoins. The current state of about 99% of the stablecoin market being in USD pegged stablecoins, is a phase, and as the industry grows, we believe this will change. Many users around the world have different needs for stablecoin usage, and with the global access crypto enables - more currencies are becoming available to onchain users. For those who want an asset tracking the value of the Swiss Franc, the best store of value amongst national currencies for the past 200 years - $ZCHF is accessible for you.

I also spent time with a former top-manager from the Swiss banking world, blowing his mind with what crypto enables and how the financial system of the future will look like. A big thanks here goes to @tw_tter for being awesome and giving him the full rundown on crypto.

On the public side, I participated in a panel and gave a keynote at the @stable_summit , and we co-hosted the VIP dinner of DeFi Connect with more than 250 attendees. Our asado was definitely the talk of town, and I want to thank @partyactionppl a lot for making this happen!

I then went to Chile, where we co-hosted the Stable Retreat Patagonia with 40 stablecoin builders. It was an incredible experience, and a truly tight-knit community emerged from those three days of being perched together in one room.

First, I was at @ethlatam in São Paulo, where I gave a presentation on the history of the Swiss franc. People in Brazil are not very aware of the CHF yet, but they were interested and engaged in a lively discussion. What is big in Brazil are payment systems like @dLocalPayments.

Today I had the honour to present @frankencoinzchf and the beauty of the Swiss franc to the people of DAO Suisse street-corner preacher style. I think the message came across really well this way. Also: Do you know what 1000 Swiss franc bills are most used for? Buying cows!

The @thestablecon is coming to Europe! @frankencoinzchf will be there to finally break that ultimate USD dominance! The Swiss franc is coming!

Today @Luzius & I went to Lugano to discuss the new proposed blockchain and stablecoin regulation with a super high calibre of stakeholders from all across politics and industry! Sometimes even I have to get my suit out of my closet!☺️ Very good discussions had!
