Stablecoins, tokenized deposits and money market funds are not competing. They are complementary. Otto Nino, Jasmine Jia, Simon Miall (@simonm8), Monet Supply (@monetsupply), and Jen Senhaji (@jensenhaji) on how each fits into the settlement stack:

Great weeks in NYC: the Knicks rule, @stable_summit, @ethconf, @AgenticSummit, @Techweek_. Spoke on stablecoin adoption, onchain FX as a core primitive for agentic finance, and gave a talk on @Celo @MentoLabs's approach to local currency stablecoins. Two things accelerating right now: - Institutional flows coming onchain as infra matures. - Agents needing to transact natively in digital currencies → new stablecoin demand layer. Onchain FX on Celo is the connective tissue for both. Exciting times.

A trillion-dollar migration from banks to stablecoins is already happening. A macroeconomic event unlike anything modern banking has faced before. For fintech and crypto, the opportunity is wide open. Insights from @stablecoin_p at @stable_summit

13 editions. Our first in NYC. The most institutional yet. We have spent three years bringing leaders in stablecoins into the same room. New faces, same mission in 2026. Special thanks to our Host, @CurveFinance, and everyone who made it.

"With the combination of blockchain, stablecoins, and now the AI agent, the answer for the unbanked is really here now." — Vincent Chok, CEO, First Digital @vchok joined @philip0x, Anil Nadiminti, and @MarkusMento at @stable_summit, moderated by @defidave, on what it takes to build financial rails for the agentic economy: stablecoins, 24/7 settlement, and guardrails built for machines. Traditional rails weren't built for machines, or for the people they leave out. @FD_XYZ is building what comes next. Full panel: youtube.com/watch?v=nKFqLOtc…

TradFi and DeFi shared the same stage last week. NYC saw @Stable_Summit and @Vault__Summit back to back, with @WojtekP onstage covering institutional readiness, NAV integrity, and what allocators should be able to verify before capital moves. The bar is slowly moving.

Watched a great discussion from the @sparkdotfi team at @stable_summit yesterday. What stood out wasn't just the conversation around digital dollars, but how seriously traditional financial institutions are now approaching tokenization. A few years ago, tokenized assets felt like a niche crypto experiment. Today, the discussion has shifted toward infrastructure, efficiency, and how these systems can integrate with existing financial rails. We're still early in the adoption curve for digital dollars, but seeing leaders from both crypto and traditional finance align on the long-term potential is a strong signal of where things are heading. The future won't be built by replacing the financial system overnight. It'll be built by gradually bringing more assets, payments, and financial products on-chain. The momentum is clearly growing.

Spoke at @stable_summit this week on sanctions, AML, and travel rule compliance in DeFi. The take: stablecoins flow through multiple actors: exchanges, bridges, wallets, protocols. No single custodian controls the full path. The answer isn't one-size-fits-all regulation. It's **layered controls**: centralized actors (exchanges, custodians, issuers) do KYC/sanctions screening. Protocols like @aave enable through transparency and governance. Key distinction: compliance obligations should attach to actors that custody, intermediate, or control discretionary decisions, not to autonomous smart contracts as if they were regulated institutions. Be precise about roles. That's how DeFi operates responsibly.
The compliance conversation in stablecoins is maturing fast, and the tools are catching up. Eric Hill, Linda Jeng (@LindaJeng1), Matthias Hauser (@0xKolibri), Anna Tse, and Dom Zagara (@DominicZagara) on sanctions, liability, and cryptographic compliance tools:
