African symbolism is a goldmine for fantasy. Every time I see African symbols I think fantasy writers are leaving money on the table. They already look like magical sigils, clan crests, spirit seals, and spell circles. Entire power systems could be built from their meanings alone

What this entire continent can offer the fantasy genre is so vast. It makes me mad to see how much is being left on the table due to ridiculous biases.
