Sources: Miami running backs coach Matt Merritt has accepted a job as the Arizona Cardinals running backs coach. He led a running backs room last year at Miami that included star tailback Mark Fletcher. Merritt's time in college included stops at Ohio State, Tennessee and USF.

UM has found the formula: Keep signing a very good QB in the portal every year, keep showing them what this coaching staff & OL & weapons can do for them to help their development for NFL; how they can play for elite team and showcase their skills. SUCCESS BEGETS SUCCESS AND WILL FUEL THIS FORMULA. Forget grooming QB in recruiting. This is the formula to remain championship contender every year. There is some risk you'll miss out on a QB one year, but this is the frickin' formula.
