I get choked up every time I come across any footage from the #TrinidadVargas fight! I said it back 25 or so years ago and I still feel the same way today! Despite the greatness of @_FernandoVargas this fight was a couple years too soon! Despite that, in round 4 or 5 I believe #elferoz was on his way to stopping Trinidad until Tito deliberately hit Vargas with two brutal low blows! Vargas was special and his career would have been so much different had he been promoted and guided the way @TopRankPR moved their fighters. I’ll never forget that first round when Trinidad floored Vargas not once but twice. Youth and sheer heart was the only thing that enabled Vargas to get up and compete after those knockdowns.
