The “hydration breaks” in the World Cup are a farce. It kills flow of play and one thing that makes football unique for the greed of US broadcasters, Infantino and the fuckers at FIFA.
It’s currently 86° in Houston and they’re playing indoors in a climate-controlled stadium. Have some respect for fans’ intelligence and call it what it is: a commercial break.
Are we really going to keep up this charade for the entire tournament?

Europe, please don’t do this. Your stadiums are just perfect. It’s what happens on the field and singing in the stands not the constant bullshit distractions that make the experience.
You don't find stadiums like this anywhere else in the world than in the US.
Americans don't just know tech and AI, they are also masters in entertainment and sports.

Very disappointing and really fucking shady by JLG: an effort that appears to have deliberately circumvented campaign laws to coordinate and get $$$ to allied groups. These don’t seem like the typical mistakes made in the heat of a campaign.
NEWS: The D.C. Office of Campaign Finance is fining @Janeese4DC's campaign $16,000 for having "violated multiple provisions of District campaign finance law and the Fair Elections Program."
OCF is also fining the union-backed @WashDC4all political action committee $4,000.

Wording here important. What looks like thousands of empty seats, but FIFA says “several spectators” were on concourse. Both can easily be true with a whole lot of unsold seats.

Official attendance figures reflect the number of tickets scanned and spectators present within the stadium footprint, rather than visual assessments of seating occupancy at any given moment during the match. FIFA works closely with stadium authorities and ticketing teams to ensure all published figures are based on verified operational data.
Please note that, during last night’s match in Guadalajara, several ticketed fans could be seen standing in concourses rather than staying in their assigned seats throughout the match.
