There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die.

I'm pleased (smug, even) to report that it took me less than a year of incessant memes and shitposts to get my entire organisation raccoon-pilled. All of the teams changed their logos. One of the managers changed their profile avatar. #impact

Pairing "Open Source Pandas Office" with a logo of a raccoon might be my favourite version of this joke so far.

The Zionists' Prayer It isn't a genocide. And if it is, it isn't that bad. And if it is, we didn't start it. And if we did, we aren't comparable to Nazis. And if we are, Palestinians don't want peace. And if they do, you can't stop us anyway. And if you can, that's AnTiSeMiTiSm.

You better hope the IDF doesn't "accidentally" bomb your wahmbulance, mate.
I was deeply offended by a slide in a recent talk at #CVPR2024 that falsely accused my country of genocide. Such baseless political statements have no place in our scientific community. Let's keep our focus on advancing science and leave politics at the door. @CVPR

Had the "pleasure" of tracking down a colleague's test failure to some documented behaviour (albeit documented by one sentence buried in a yuge `.md` file) that requires two DDL statements' conditions to be identical... as determined by regular expression pattern string equality.

With Brzozowski derivatives, AND and NOT are just as easy to implement as OR; apparently, so is XOR. I'm thinking that XOR(a,b) being the empty set would be sufficient to establish equivalence, @thingskatedid?

Using "AI" shit ("prompt engineering") is like doing SEO shit in that it's stringly-typed "programming" with less programming and more ritualistic hoping that your vibes will sparkle just so with The Algorithm™. Abandon rationalism and RETVRN™ to empiricism!
Influencers telling other that CS is useless for SwEng, LLMs being better at programming than someone that has studied programming for many months, CEOs saying AI will replace programmers... All this misplaced consensus mean there is a lot of alpha in knowing CS and coding.

Apropos of nothing: >> ...brb shitposting on reddit that the reason your linux is broken is that /dev/null filled up and you need to empty the hopper > just need to seed the rabbit owners' subreddit with posts about how your bunny is named "hopper" and has constipation

"We miss you, and we want you back! Renew your lapsed ACM Professional Membership today and receive a 15% one-year Membership Discount." It expired nearly six months ago! What the motherloving fuck is this desperation shit about?

What's next, ACM? "We miss you, and we want you back! As much as you will want your loved ones back wh^H^Hif they go missing. But if you simply renew your lapsed ACM Professional Membership, we will guarantee that none of your loved ones will ever go missing. (Conditions apply.)"

Just as there is religious psychosis, I truly believe what we are seeing out of Israel is collective ethnonationalist psychosis. I have long called the behaviour of ethnonationalists, particularly in the case of Greater Serbia ethnonationalists, as “ethnonationalist delusion”.

One factor would be Zionist hypocrisy: sobbing about being the world's greatest victims juxtaposed with striving to become the world's greatest villains. Another factor would be Zionist bloodthirst: circulating on social media the evidence of their crimes and clamouring for more.
Some of you need to think about why you talk about Israelis so differently than you talk about people from other countries committing human rights atrocities especially in the face of widespread demands for Netanyahu to take the ceasefire

Removing them completely seems drastic. Why not try just removing their heads first?
it seems the only way Colossal Order were able to fix the intractable problem of rent constantly rising far faster than anyone would ever be able to reasonably pay was to simply remove landlords. in cities skylines 2 i mean. there is no real-life lesson we can take away from this

The incessant Zionist lie that Palestinians resisting occupation are motivated by antisemitism (rather than anti-colonialism) necessarily presumes that if Palestinians were occupied by non-Jews, they simply ~wouldn’t resist~ Truly asinine, defamatory, ahistorical propaganda.

arxiv.org/abs/2406.02543 sounds like DeepMind folks have written a paper about increasing inference costs by N× ("iterative prompting") just to be able to detect "AI" shit doing exactly what "AI" shit does. So glad to see that the emperor is wearing multiple layers of new clothes.

If it's any consolation, the "AI" is a lie as well.
