When I screened VA (virtual assistant) applicants years ago, I'd ask them to send me a calendar invite for a phone call.
The TITLE of the calendar invite was so telling: Some would name it "phone call" 😡
Others would name it "Call with Jonathan," which is meaningless when I see it on MY calendar.
The best applicants would put both of our names together, ideally theirs first (Jill<>Jonathan Call) and have a call to action like “Jill will call Jonathan at [phone number].”
I'm curious...what subtle screening tricks have worked for you in other scenarios? (hiring, dating, etc)
