Sadly, we didn't get enough people to understand the importance of a collaborative effort in time. Voters did send a message that we will support candidates from different backgrounds, experiences, & political affiliations as long as they have the knowledge & commitment to serve.

Want to re-emphasize this: Where extremists are winning tonight, it's because good guys are splitting the vote among multiple candidates. That's step 1 for resisting these takeovers: figure out who you're voting for and line up behind them. Very few book banners are getting 50%.

If you believe in public schools, you have to show up, make noise, and vote. This is from Frisco ISD, but the message is true across the state.
And yes, Granbury leads the pack, with a board who caters to a Superintendent aiming to force in religion whenever possible.

This comes days after Southlake @carrollisd sent a letter to parents warning them of a looming budget deficit that vouchers would only make worse.

Gov @GregAbbott_TX pushed hard for folks to attend his voucher rally at the Capitol today.
He offered to pay for them to come.
They stayed away in droves.
Only a handful showed up.
The governor is selling a private school voucher plan.
Texans aren’t buying it.
