moved all my .env dev/build/deploy into 1password cli recently. i'm a big fan of 1password but the constant authorization popups is annoying. i'm considering switching to the 1password environment feature but it's only beta and maybe i should just move to @infisical idk🤔
Copy-pasting secrets into .env files. Plaintext credentials on disk. API keys DM’d over Slack.
That’s how most dev teams handle secrets today, and these are all risks.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.

Remember when Windows was known for being a hellscape of malware, but after a few (many) years, things got better.
It's gonna be like that for a lot of software for a while. Hopefully the agents will help us fix everything as fast as they find everything.

sometimes a tweet will have a video in it and I'll watch the video and then it'll autoplay another video (or if I swipe) and HOLY HELL the next videos that get played are ALWAYS the trashiest, engagement-baitingest garbage I've ever seen. I know it's like that on TikTok and Reels and all that, but my X feed is usually pretty decent so it's disheartening being reminded the absolute trash that so many people are consuming 🤮

one of the things I really appreciate about @prestonstew_ is that he proves that you can have a successful large online presence without having a fake, over-the-top tv persona or lean too hard into engagement baiting.
you can just act and talk like a normal human being about the things you are interested in and take seriously developing and sharing your expertise.
