I first met the Jess Search in 1988. She was brilliant, clever, a bit scary. Over the last few days I've been reading about the huge impact she had on other people's lives. I admired her hugely. She was one of a kind.

I was in Madrid this week and they have parakeets there but different ones to ours - Monk Parakeets that build huge communal nests the size of small cars and make even more noise than our lot. At last I have an agenda to run for Mayor Of London. We want Monk Parakeets here now!
