Thank you so much City Mayor Engineer @LAlionzi for leading us to St. Peter's Seed SS Arua City for a meeting with the 28 staff members MoES headed by Hon Minister @JanetMuseveni had posted there in July 2025. The teachers have been paid for the 11 Months. @ps_lukwago @rggoobi

After 11 months, the teachers and non-teaching staff of Aliba SS in Arua City have finally been paid in full by the City. This afternoon, together with the Assistant RCC Mr. Job Richard Matua and technical staff, we engaged with the staff who had gone 11 months without pay. Upon swearing in, I directed the technical team to resolve the matter within a week, and I am pleased that by Monday, the issue had been fully addressed. On behalf of the local government, I apologized to the staff for the delay and thanked them for their patience, resilience, and commitment to duty despite the challenges. I also commend our technical team for working tirelessly to ensure this matter was resolved.

Today I shared a brief, warm laugh with the President of the @RotaractAruaUg, @AsianzuSophie. It was a light moment that reminded me of the power of simple connection and genuine conversation in strengthening community bonds and friendships.

The @AruaCityUg Super Eight Eid Cup concluded yesterday after two days of action. Najjah Islamic were crowned champions, edging Ragem Select 1-0 in a tight final.
