Wonderful @EMBO#spatialomics meeting at Rome. Listened to many amazing talks and met so many experts in the field. Thanks Pankaj Trivedi and organizers!
Congrats to my friend and colleague Guosong Hong for his stunning and original discovery, published today in Science, on clearing tissues *in living animals* with a common food dye!
The dye is tartrazine, used in Doritos!

By topically applying a common food dye that strongly absorbs light to a live mouse, researchers were able to turn its tissues transparent, allowing them a look into the blood vessels of the scalp, the movement of organs laying under the skin of the abdomen, and tiny contractile units of muscle at work.

Our spatial clustering algo applies to any spatial RNA/protein/... assay, scales to 2M cells, detects both cell typing and spatial domains and facilitates spatial batch correction.
