"This Sunday night’s UFC spectacle on the South Lawn...captures something about this moment in our history. It's vulgar, violent, commercial, grandiose, tacky, and it dishonors a place once thought worthy of care and respect. In other words, it’s Donald Trump." open.substack.com/pub/thebul…

A must-watch from @andersoncooper :::
Anderson Cooper reports on the "We The People" medallion joining the laundry list of Trump-branded merchandise promoted by the president and his family.

I understand this because I live in Texas. But I'm guessing some folks who read this Sorsby story will wonder why a "retired" judge is ruling in this case. espn.com/college-football/st…

Or, I guess, a president could opt for something a bit more unifying for South Lawn entertainment...

Taste is in the eye of the beholder. Raise your hand if you’d hire Decorator- in-Chief Trump to redo your house in the inimitable style in which he’s redone Our House.
Here are more photos from my Oval Office meeting with President Trump yesterday. @KenPaxtonTX and I had a great conversation with him. President @realDonaldTrump has done an incredible job revitalizing and restoring the West Wing and the Oval Office. It has never looked better.

Trump's "position" on his war is a different line of crap every day. They'd better make a deal quickly or they'll be bombed to the stone age. We've already won. They're desperate to make a deal. They'd better make a deal soon. We have a deal. Relax, no one's in any hurry . . .

Didn’t think this was a real post at first. Either way, the artists pulling out say this isn’t about the “yips,” they say it’s about the perception that the festivity is partisan in nature. Not sure this post will dispel that concern. x.com/jaketapper/status/2060…

The Kennedy Center is meant to memorialize "President Kennedy and President Kennedy alone," Judge Cooper ruled, in a decision that would likely require Trump's name to be removed from the face of the building. politico.com/news/2026/05/29…

NEW: The Pentagon is moving to recruit hundreds of troops to appear as spectators at President Donald Trump’s UFC cage-fighting event at the White House, and requiring those who attend to pay their own way and meet height and weight requirements.

An old, but apt fable: A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't help myself. It's my character." @Wikipedia
