Alleged, Disgusting Messages, from Florida Teacher Charged for Explicit Child Crimes.
Federal agents took a 37-year-old teacher and coach from a private school in Boca Raton, FL into custody after an investigation uncovered him sharing explicit child material and talking about trying to get explicit images from students.
Patrick Conor Russell worked at Saint Andrew’s School, a private Episcopal boarding school. The school fired him right after learning of the arrest.
Investigators from the FBI started looking into Russell after they searched someone else’s device in the Cincinnati area as part of a separate case. They found chat logs on the encrypted messaging app Zangi with a user called “Jack C,” who turned out to be Russell, court documents show.
According to the federal complaint, Russell and the other person swapped links to explicit content involving minors. He reportedly talked about being interested in teen boys and girls, described role-play scenarios involving students in his English class, and sent photos of boys from his school while making explicit comments about them.
Russell allegedly discussed wanting help to “bait” students into sending explicit pictures and mentioned seeing students naked in locker rooms while working as a coach. He reportedly told the other person he had touched students while helping them stretch.
Russell appeared in federal court in Fort Lauderdale on Friday. He remains in custody.
