Sadly, it does mean Iāll be stepping down as Web Summit CEO on March 1. Iāve absolutely loved my time with Web Summit. Iāve been bowled over by the team's talent, energy, and frankly -- general good vibes -- and this appreciation has only grown with each passing week.

Donāt get me wrong. Iām an office person! When I had the choice of working from home versus going to the office, I went in probably 95% of the time. But I ran a remote organization and this sort of grumbling is a failure of empathy and imagination.

Okay last gripe. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE between a remote workforce and a large corporation with many offices. Answer: we zoom from our bedrooms. Anyone who has worked in a company with multiple locations knows that someone somewhere is always remote to you.
