if another country bombed an elementary school in Alabama and then started saying shit like “they’re better off dead than growing up evangelical” while their executive branch was posting 2010 Marvel memes on their socials, what do you think the reaction would be?
"CPAC Head Says Iranian Schoolgirls Are Better Dead Than “in a Burqa”. Leading Republicans don’t seem to care about the bombing of a girls’ school in Iran." newrepublic.com/post/207415/…

The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for 8 days. Everyone thinks this is about oil. This is about what oil becomes. 92% of the world's sulfur comes from refining oil and gas. Close the Strait of Hormuz and you don't just lose 20 million barrels of crude per day. You lose the feedstock for sulfuric acid, the single most produced chemical on Earth. Sulfuric acid is how we extract copper. It's how we extract cobalt. Without it, you can't make transformers, EV batteries, or the substrates inside every data center on the planet. One chemical, made from one feedstock, shipped through one chokepoint. The cascade goes further: Qatar ships 30% of Taiwan's liquefied natural gas through Hormuz. Taiwan has 11 days of reserves left. TSMC, the company that makes 90% of the world's advanced chips, draws 8.9% of Taiwan's total electricity. No gas, no power, no chips. Then food. 33% of the world's nitrogen fertilizer feedstock moves through the Strait. Half of all humans alive today exist because of synthetic nitrogen. Sulfur, semiconductors, food. That makes three supply chains, one 21-nautical-mile chokepoint, and zero domestic alternatives at scale.

You swore up and down that the US wouldn’t get dragged into a war with Iran. You said you’d apologize to me if proven wrong. We are now at war with Iran. We bombed an elementary school and slaughtered 160 little girls as the opening act of “liberating Iran.” You are a fitness guru with an unbearably inauthentic vocal fry. You have no credibility on geopolitical matters. Tehran, a city of 10 million people, is literally on fire right now and this is the slop you whip up as analysis. Embarrassing.
It’s wild to me that some of the loudest voices right now are arguing over whether the Iranian regime really killed 30,000 people — like the real issue is whether the number is technically lower. If someone wants to say “I’m worried about a forever war” or “this doesn’t feel America First,” those are fair arguments. Reasonable people can debate that. But pretending the Islamic Republic isn’t that bad because you don't like Trump is BANANAS. Thats one hell of a regrettable talking point 🤦🏽‍♀️

Defender removed, here's where the ball was 0.13 seconds after impact with the ground. If you still think that's a catch. Wow.

Can someone explain why when a defender throws a peanut punch and hits the player not the ball they’re not penalized and ejected?

Halfley has put players in position to make a play but they cannot tackle at all.

One of the most frustrating (and honestly, annoying) things about the online wellness space right now is how moralistic it’s becoming— especially around alcohol. Zero alcohol is a personal choice. Not a virtue. Turning it into an identity, or judging others for moderation, helps no one. In real life, some of the healthiest and longest-living people I’ve ever met, including many patients, enjoy the occasional drink— often socially, joyfully, and without guilt. Many even attribute their long, healthy life to enjoying their regular tipple! In years of medicine, I’ve seen far more harm from rigidity, guilt, and joyless living than from occasional, moderate alcohol intake. Health isn’t built on puritanism or zealotry. It’s built on balance, context, and sustainability. Nothing wrong with a drink— especially on a good night out. On that note, cheers to all this Saturday evening!🍷

Interesting debate. Just caught up with a buddy. We graduated grade school and high school together. He spent most of his career at Intel. Much of mine at a utility. He retired 3 months ago. I plan on 12 more years. He worked 12 hour days. I’m mostly 8-5. Who had it better?

This Real ID thing is a cluster. No appointmets available within 90 miles. Applied for a passport and paid the post office to take the photo. Denied, photo doesn’t meet requirements. It’s like we live in fucking Russia.
