If you’re a freelancer, I want to ask you this: ✍️ How long did you spend last week applying to jobs? Not just that, but how long did you spend copy-pasting text into various forms and doing rote busywork like tweaking a few sentences on cover letters to wrangle them in various portals? 👇 if the answer is “a lot” then I think you’ll want to see what @kylefcords, co-founder of Make Writing Your Job, just built for you:

Favorite idea of the past week came from @chamath on @theallinpod : SpaceX never IPOs. It reverse-merges into Tesla, and Elon uses the moment to consolidate power across his “core” companies. It made every neuron in my brain light up.

This is why Netflix will only entertain 17-day theatrical windows and this is a concession by them.
A lot of theaters are going to close soon.

It’s tough to say but theaters are not making money. It’s a nice to have but not a need to have for most people especially people with families. It’s just too costly and too much of a headache for most people. Live Theater used to have places in every city at the beginning of the 20th century. Now there’s one or two in every major city. And a dozen in NYC. I fear movie theaters are heading for this not because it’s something we want but because the economics just don’t work anymore. It’s sad.

Just heard someone say, “isn’t it amazing that we put a bunch of rocks together until it became AI?” Pretty wild to think about.
