damn skippy yum wit it
It’s with great regret that I must agree with the essence of what is said here.   Israel’s old guard Marxists and Socialists, many of whom are lawyers and academicians, have destroyed its democratic government. The ruling class elites are a distinct minority that cannot win elections and have taken on the character of a Marxist thugocracy -  including blackmailing the prime minister, endless criminal investigations of him and his wife, seizing power from the Knesset (parliament), a Supreme Court that functions like a Soviet polit bureau, a mostly Pravda-like media that serves the thugocracy, etc. Its universities have been turned into indoctrination mills in which democracy is defined as Lenin wrote about it, the leaders of the minority parties are feckless and egomaniacal, and craven for power, and they seek to destroy the majority government at any cost — including losing the war, and dark money is pouring into Israel from overseas to fund the often violent protests and domestic disruptions for the purpose of toppling the government.  The Left is diabolical in Israel as it is in the United States.  It is Israel’s enemy within.

i like @elonmusk more now
Watching this reminded me that we never truly know what battles someone has survived to become who they are today. A difficult childhood can become an excuse, or it can become fuel. As a child, Elon witnessed violence in his home. He was severely bullied, hospitalised, and then met with criticism instead of comfort. Those wounds don't simply disappear. They become part of the foundation a person must either be crushed by or rise above. I have deep respect for anyone who chooses the latter. As someone who grew up around domestic violence, who was bullied intensely as a child, who was ridiculed by people that were supposed to protect me, and as a mother whose young son once wrapped his little arms around me after an assault and said, "Don't worry Mum, I'll protect you," I understand how deeply those moments shape a child. Many people repeat what they were shown. Some spend a lifetime carrying the pain. A rare few choose to become something greater than their circumstances. I admire the resilience it takes to endure adversity, rise above it, and dedicate your life to building things that help humanity move forward. Not everyone who grows up surrounded by pain finds the strength to break the cycle. True resilience is becoming a better example than the one you were given 🙏

You’re giving them that money … his answers are so telling and void of any substance.
Ghalibaf is openly boasting that the Islamic Republic achieved far more through negotiations with the Trump administration than it ever could through military action. "If there had been no negotiations, we wouldn't have achieved our goals. Through negotiations, we obtained several times more than what we sought through military action - so much more that the two are not even comparable." This goes well beyond the regime's usual victory laps and propaganda. Ghalibaf is explicitly arguing that negotiations delivered gains on a scale that military force never could. The Islamic Republic is not presenting this agreement as a compromise - it is presenting it as a decisive victory. Similarly, at home, both Democrats and Republicans are signaling that the Trump administration was out-negotiated and made far too many concessions while receiving few meaningful assurances, verification mechanisms, or commitments in return.

“The real cost is not to the United States, it’s to the Iranian people. Because Trump said, ‘Help is on the way.” And help was not on the way. And now this deal will enshrine the Iranian regime, for a generation, with American support and cooperation, and send a message to people all over the world who are brave enough to stand up to their dictators and despots, that when America says help is on the way, that doesn’t mean anything.” “And that’s the real cost of this. It’s that we’ve promised the Iranian people that we care about their lives, and now we are throwing them to the wolves. No matter what happens with the $300 billion or the Strait of Hormuz, those people will have to wait another several years before they get another chance at dignity. And it’s partially our fault, for raising their hopes and then squashing them unceremoniously because Trump just changed his mind and doesn’t care anymore.”

Reporter: If Iran comes back after the signing of this and say they want to continue to have a civilian nuclear program, is that acceptable to you? Trump: It is a little hard though when you say that somebody wants to other people have it, other adjoining states have it and you're not letting them have it for purposes of electricity and things like that, it's always a little tough. You have to use a little common sense.

🚨Breaking: In a display of unparalleled negotiating genius, the Trump Admin just signed a monster MOU with Mexico’s top three cartels…. Three hundred billion dollars, full immunity, every confiscated drug released, and a permanent hands off policy on their operations. In exchange, the cartels promise lighter weapons for their daily rival slaughters, premium grade fentanyl for American customers, and a solemn verbal commitment to consider the potential possibility of maybe using a fraction less poison per dose. “Best deal in history” crows the White House. Finally America gets a bulk discount on its own extinction event.
