Not seeing a lot of data on what jobs they're actually getting.
Anecdotes around "edtech companies are hiring teachers in droves" ain't cutting it. Anybody have info on any of this?

The teacher resignation crisis has illuminated several key issues. Teachers need: 1) time to eat lunch, 2) reduced workload, 3) appropriate compensation, 4) restroom breaks, 5) autonomy, 6) a voice in policy-making, 7) quality #PD, 8) respect. What else? #edchat #iteachmath

I get how relationships with teachers matter, but also, every kid doesn’t want that. As a student, I really didn’t, especially in HS.I knew my teacher was there to teach me, not be another parent to me.
Some of y’all have to drop the notion that every kid wants to be saved.

All 6 units for 7th grade are complete and available for download from our website. We are so excited to have these materials available for educators and students.
Our last unit for middle school will be released next week, marking the completion of our middle school course!

The number of kids out each day in one of my classes for the past few meetings. Due to COVID social distancing requirements we’re have a rotating hybrid schedule and then there are several contact traces etc. 😞

I am coaching a teacher who has been teaching for 15 years and they shared they are contemplating leaving the profession after this year. I didn’t encourage or discourage them. Rather, I used the opportunity to encourage them to recenter joy in their teaching right now.
