My Grandpa passed away on December 10th. I sat down with him and recorded this conversation in 2016. He wasn’t a man who used much technology so it’s safe to say this is his first podcast. Love ya grandpa languageofbromance.libsyn.co…

This is fucking cool.
Chris Nikic, the first person with Down syndrome to complete an Ironman, completes Ironman 70.3 Massachusetts. Shortly before the race, Nikic announced that he needed a guide to run alongside him for the race. That's when Dr. Tommy Martin decided to step up. "I learned more in this race than almost any other I have competed in, and none of it was about race tactics or how to PR. It was about life, perspective, determination, and grit. I owe all of that to Chris," Martin said. "I hope every finish line Chris crosses serves as a reminder to the world: your diagnosis, your situation, your circumstances do not define your potential!" Congrats, Chris! That’s the hug you get from your dad when you become the 5th player since 1900 to hit a walk off homer in your MLB debut.

Sam should’ve been rewarded for this. If it wasn’t for him stopping the runner, the guy would’ve ran straight into left field #thankyousam

Terry Boers made every one smile. "Every time I think of Terry, I'm laughing about something." - @dan_bernstein "I am smiling. I am laughing and thinking about all the laughter that we had together with Terry and how funny he was." - @MattAbbatacola

As a caller noted, part of what made Terry Boers so special was he related to and talked with Mike from Milwaukee just as easily as he would a Chicago sports star.

Uncle Terry was the best. Was a great part of my day to listen to him on the radio and just an all around good dude. Had to watch the cameo he sent me from 2021 even in that he was giving great advice and so nice when he didn’t have to.
TB was everything to us! YOU were everything to him!

Boers and Bernstein YouTube clips all day today. What a time. @MattAbbatacola and I knew every day (even when we despised them 🙃) that we were a part of something special. Best 7 years of my professional life.
