The team distributed 28 waste bins to Kibuli Police Primary school which is having atotal number of 1,330 pupils in the primary section with 26 class streams and 230 pupils in the nursery section. These waste bins were given to each stream inorder to reduce on the poor waste managements in the classrooms,School compounds.
Before the waste bins were handed over to the School Administration,there was asession for education and awareness on waste segreggation. The education session was led by the NEMA LEAD-ESD community of practice.
Pupils were given Practical demonstration sessions on waste segreggation with them getting hands on experience. This session was involving the pupils, head Teacher, teaching and non.teaching staff.
