So @PastorMark says a biblical shepherd is more like a cowboy than the soft, passive version of leadership many have accepted.

James Talarico may present himself as a Sunday school teacher, but the policies and values he promotes are far from biblical Christianity. Texas doesn't need radical progressive ideology wrapped in religious language. Pastors and believers should not stay silent while biblical truth is being redefined and compromised.

A young student reportedly refused to participate in religious practices during a school trip to a mosque.
It reminds me of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel chapter 3. They refused to bow to another god — even under pressure from the culture around them.
Their conviction led them into the fire… but God met them there.
