We’re very excited on #teamtrauma as we took delivery of our patient weighing PAT slide. patients on bed rest can now have an accurate MUST from admission. @hannahalice2201 is completing her dissertation for her BSc in Leadership and Innovation based around its use.

I *almost* have no words This sent to staff TODAY from a trust with multiple recent staff suicides beggars belief @uhbtrust this is just getting worse and worse (Obviously, as always, correct me if I’m wrong - one of your staff sent me this, so highly unlikely)

This problem will take 5-10 years to fix. Money along isn’t enough. We need workforce planning, recruitment and retention. Meanwhile expect a lot more headlines like this. apple.news/ATsOe6AoGQbasCc_2…

I think I know what you’re trying to say, but I think it’s unfair to say “least important”, implication therefore being that it is most expendable. Yes, the majority will reach standard without excess effort, but if that standard can’t be met then it’s incompatible with the job.

.@goldstone_tony @Jeremy_Hunt @RishiSunak @SteveBarclay @lucyallan I wrote to my MP about the #pensiontax This is his reply It tells me precisely nothing. Can you please get this sorted if you don’t want senior doctors to be forced to leave

There is no point promising this until AFTER the 8,000 new GPs have been recruited and trained! ⁦@LibDems

If you’re a (prospective) med student, don’t let current negativity around the NHS put you off 💙 Overnight, I… escalated a stroke for thrombolysis; did CPR (for the first time); assessed 5 temp spikes & identified a heart attack 🚨 I love this job. There’s nowhere I’d rather be

They aren’t ‘claims’. They are facts. And the NHS isn’t a breaking point. It’s at broken point. The question is what will ⁦@theresecoffey⁩ do to help. Winter is coming…

So the plan is to tell us to ‘do better’ and ‘name and shame’ is it? I haven’t heard a single word about how we will do this with less staff and no new resource. The whole NHS is crippled and is falling over. Not ‘about to’, it’s happening already in terrifying slow motion.

Doing anything other than this is a massive own goal. Why the hell invest in Fracking?!
Labour will make Britain into a clean energy superpower. Clean power by 2030 will slash bills and break the UK’s vulnerability to tyrants like Putin. We’ll drive growth, create jobs, secure our energy, and tackle the climate crisis. A fairer, greener future with Labour.
The duty of care has always been there and will always be there. If it’s going to take a year, that means hundreds of people in the same position as you were waiting before you. As to why treatment now takes so long, ⁦@theresecoffey⁩ is the person to ask.

I think ‘by accident or design’ is one of my favourite parts of this excellent piece. I think we all know it’s by design…

How is our national predicament not the perfect reason to go hard with renewables? Two birds one stone. How can going back to more fossil fuels and nuclear be the way to go?
