"You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays." ― Meredith Willson, The Music Man How true! Start acting today instead of waiting for a better tomorrow. Found this gem inside @SahilBloom 's Friday Five newsletter.

Sent a newsletter issue after almost 1.2 years! Here are the stats: Open Rate: 36.72% CTOR: 22.1% Not bad! Honestly I expected to cross only 25% as my list went cold and most of them must have forgotten me. 😅 But... (h/t for the awesome stats display @beehiiv!)

This is some solid advice if you're looking to promote your products to your readers. 👇

2. Segmentation I see brands get greedy and send promotional emails to their entire list - that's where they push away new readers Most readers will buy from you once they have consumed your content for some time - and see you as an authority This trust builds over time - as you send top-class issues one after the other — I create two segments: (a) Engaged Readers: Folks who read 60% of my issues (b) Highly Engaged Readers: Folks who read 80% of my issues I only send promotional emails to these segments These readers know me - they know my domain, my way of work, the content's value, and even what songs I listen to You have your best bets selling to these folks because they give you an extra two minutes and allow your promotional emails. WHICH IS WHY YOU CAN'T FUCK UP WITH YOUR PRODUCTS Your readers trust you - don't sell BS

After a year-long break, I'm excited to publish my first newsletter issue! Made some changes, but the essence of the old newsletter still remains. 😁 I hope my longtime readers will recognize it and find something new to enjoy! 😅

Did my best with phrasing a one-liner for my curated newsletter. This exercise helped me be more precise about the kind of people I will write this newsletter for. I was very confused about this part because I was trying to cater to everybody instead of just my target readers.

Week #1 of @_nightsweekends 🙌🔥 I'm so excited about this and can't wait to work on re-starting and reviving my newsletter "The Curious Bunch" which I have paused for more than a year now. 😅 Update: I migrated to @beehiiv to re-start my newsletter. :) the-curious-bunch.beehiiv.co…

Reading goals for 2024: Read 24 books. 2 books/mo. Diverse genres in fiction & at least 1 non-fiction. Try & pick more books by female authors & queer authors as opposed to male authors cuz if I go back and analyse the books I've read in the past..most books were written by men!

Currently reading: Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. One of my favourite authors and I absolutely love his short story "The Egg". In 2023, I haven't picked any sci-fi books, so this looks like a great start! 🙌
