Journalism isn't stand-up comedy, but you are a clown for sure. 🤡🤡 Reading fake whatsapp forwards on the national television is not journalism.

I really hope you're reading the replies and quote tweets to your tweet. At least you should have an inkling of how profoundly and widely you are loathed by people who care about basic decency and ethics. At least faintly start to hear the ghost of your long-dead concsience.

But your style of Journalism is no less than Stand-up comedy. @navikakumar. Remember this? This is how you and @RShivshankar read out names of 30 Chinese Soldiers after they received a fake WhatsApp forward. 🙄

He’s not deciding when you can speak or not. He’s telling you when you do - it’s often nonsensical, insincere and vile. You’re not so smart for someone on prime time. Or even generally. And for someone who’s peloing gyan daily, a bit rich to tell others not to pelo no?

Mr Das, agencies investigated, built the case, and when the case collapsed, that was reported too. Journalism isn’t stand-up comedy, we don’t improvise facts for applause. Also, you don’t get to decide when I can or cannot speak on women. The FoS brigade often seems to have a problem with other people’s freedom of speech. I recommend yoga and meditation for a calmer mind. Also, keep your gyan to yourself.

Watched this woman destroy an innocent girls life while reading her WhatsApp Messages on the news. For ratings. Had her call me anti-national on the news for speaking about women’s safety. For ratings. Now she’s ‘concerned’ about women. For ratings. Give me a break. That’s my take.

This nasty man Abhijit Iyer, called female journalists ‘sasti randiyan’ (cheap prostitutes) and it is considered poetry by the fucking court. of course it is. we must remember, the judges of this country are men after all.
#Breaking A Sessions Court in Delhi has stayed the Magistrate Court's order for registration of an FIR against Abhijit Iyer-Mitra for his allegedly "objectionable" tweets on Newslaundry and its journalists. The Sessions Judge says the words used by Iyer-Mitra are in the form of shayari, but no individual has been specifically named. @Iyervval @MnshaP @newslaundry

We are making us a laughing stock of the world. Why does a CJI accept a random invitation from an “organiser” for a London talk on AI? It’s not the university or the government but some student society. I saw the hall. It was sparsely attended. The questioner had an agenda. Perhaps Tau was set up. The best thing would be to ignore this and learn lessons not to crave for free foreign trips.
The High Commission of India in London has issued a statement condemning "indecorous audience behaviour" after a video from CJI Surya Kant's June 4 lecture at Birkbeck College went viral, showing an attendee attempting to raise questions on dissent in India during an event convened specifically on 'Artificial Intelligence and International Law,' before being cut off by the organiser. The High Commission said differences of opinion are natural in a democracy but must be expressed "in a manner that is civil and respectful."

After 5 years, the Supreme Court finally has a woman judge again. Senior Advocate V. Mohana becomes only the 2nd woman lawyer ever directly elevated from the Bar to the Bench — following Justice Indu Malhotra. This is historic. Finally, the glass ceiling cracks a little more.

A rare frame: Bashir Badr sahab, young, holding his AMU degree. We watched the last star fall from the sky. But his verses and sher(s) will remain unburied, undimmed, eternal. Jee rahega woh, har sher mein.

Rest in Peace, Bashir Badr sahab. With his passing, it truly feels as though one of the last shining stars of the world of shayari has faded into eternity. His poetry will continue to echo in our collective memory forever. إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Judges and lawyers together make the Bar and the Bench. Why book releases alone? Judges and lawyers also attend each other’s functions like children’s marriages and retirement or elevation or designation parties. The test is to still remain independent despite doing so. It’s impractical to enforce such artificial separations!
Call me old fashioned. Highly inappropriate for sitting senior judges to attend book launches of advocates who appear before them.
