Finally, the only daily, global, free map of GPS interference has officially launched: gpsjam.org/ Watch jamming around conflict zones develop over time. Wonder who's jamming GPS all around Moscow. Like all the best maps, it raises more questions than it answers!

In the best case scenario, Trump struck a deal to reopen a Strait that was open before the pointless war he started, with the IRGC demonstrating its control over the Strait and potentially extracting fees plus sanctions relief. Thousands of innocents - including hundreds of children - dead in Lebanon and Iran for no reason. U.S. troops killed and wounded. U.S. embassies and bases in the Middle East badly damaged. U.S. standing in the world obliterated. U.S. munitions badly depleted. Hundreds of billions spent. Prices up everywhere. More global economic fallout to come. Putin strengthened and enriched. Just a catastrophic situation even in the best of circumstances. A profoundly shameful episode in American history no matter what happens next.

Neguse: Where is this company headquartered? Noem: I don’t know. Neguse: I don’t know either. We can’t find it. We did find an address that’s registered to a political operative. This company that received 143 million dollars was incorporated 8 days before this contract went out. You want the American people to believe that this is all above board, that $143 million of taxpayer money just happened to go to this one company that doesn't have a headquarters, doesn't have a website, has never done work for the federal government before and is registered apparently or attached to a residence from a political operative, and of course one of the subcontractors of that contract, as you know, is a political firm that's tied to, to you back when you were governor of South Dakota?

My dad (Richard Feynman) had a side hustle doing industrial consulting. He'd spend a few hours visiting a company, talking to the engineers, looking at stuff, and then maybe have a good suggestion. Sometimes he would bring his son along. I only recall one of his suggestions, but it made the company he was consulting for way better off, so I guess his exorbitant consulting fees were worth it. We could have been wealthier if he had done it systematically, but he didn't want to be organized about looking for jobs, so it just happened when someone asked.
We need more mercenary polymaths

President Donald Trump pardoned a member of the US military who was in court martial proceedings for murdering a prisoner, and he pardoned another member of the US military who was convicted by the US military on multiple counts of murdering civilians.
Replying to @lindas_diner
Telling a soldier to shoot a prisoner. Most unlawful orders are pretty easy to spot—they generally are a demand to violate the Geneva Conventions or to commit some sort of crime under U.S. law.

Elon Musk has enormous resources on hand. He has very smart people around him and who work for him, who can explain stuff to him. He is posting this because he is doing political propaganda and is either pretending to not understand, or is willfully avoiding understanding.

Given that he’s on the ballot twice, maybe he can win twice too 🤦‍♂️

A lot of viral political content is people simply not understanding how things work and how things happened in the way that they did. The listing of names on ballots is a standardized process. No one is manipulating it to help a particular candidate in a particular election.

The New York City ballot form is a scam! - No ID is required - Other mayoral candidates appear twice - Cuomo’s name is last in bottom right

There's less than one full month left in 2025, but I feel good if I can post at least one significant project per year and PIMINTO is a good one. "I think this hasn't got as much attention as it deserves." – someone on the @ArmsControlWonk slack. heavymeta.org/projects/

I do have an even bigger & cooler, still-secret project that might make it in under the line for 2025.

Here's a short video demo of my geospatial AI/semantic search system, PIMINTO. It's super fast, and very flexible: search aerial imagery for things you hadn't thought of until just this second. Supports query by image. Want to try it out? You can. 1/

For people who think a shotgun is the answer to FPV drone defense.
Finnish world shotgun champion Kim Leppänen took on FPV drones simulating attacking him. He failed on the first straight-on attack, not prepared for the high speed of the FPV. He successfully adapted but he is the best shooter in the world, and you don’t get a redo in Ukraine. 1/
