WACREN, @EIFLnet, and @AJOLinfo held the inaugural No-Fee Open Access Community of Practice (CoP) Meeting for African researchers, editors, and journal publishers. The use of #AI and persistent identifiers in academic publishing took centre stage in the discussion. Close to 100 of our 300 culturally diverse CoP participants joined the meeting. Through the CoP, we are building a robust community to advance open publishing in Africa. #openscience #openpublishing
