Things I’m picking up from this IMF report. Our broad money velocity is 3.3 That means that in our economy we cycle through our broad money supply 3.3 times in a year. That is actually high. In developed economies it’s typical to have that number at 1.1 to 2. 3.3 means money doesn’t sit long in accounts. As it’s coming in, it’s going back out. Paychecks are spent as they hit. Fast moving consumer goods and consumption economy. Banking depth is low and informality is high.

Designers are being trained by platforms to chase engagement. And when engagement becomes the goal, patience disappears. Instead of slowly developing their own work, many start copying whatever already gets attention. That is how design turns into a loop of recycled taste.

El día de hoy Satya Nadella, CEO de Microsoft, publicó algo muy interesante sobre cómo funcionaría esto. Menciona que en una empresa moderna debe existir tanto el capital humano (el conocimiento, juicio, relaciones, ingenio y capacidad de reconocer patrones de las personas) como el capital de tokens (básicamente la capacidad de IA que construye y posee la empresa). La clave está en combinarlos para formar un learning loop (bucle de aprendizaje) donde humanos y herramientas de IA se potencien mutuamente. Cada workflow, cada decisión y cada dato real de la empresa se convierte en señal para que el sistema mejore continuamente. Ese loop se vuelve el verdadero valor de la compañía: una máquina que escala el conocimiento tácito y es muy difícil de copiar. Así que al fin se está pisando tierra: ya no se habla de reemplazar a las personas, sino de amplificar su expertise para que mejoren con el tiempo. 🔥 Y bueno, finalmente menciona que las empresas que armen estos sistemas agenticos propios temprano van a tener una ventaja brutal.
