I'm wowed by my Y5's future farms. Following #DesignThinking principles stds designed prototypes for their vertical farm concept to solve HK's over reliance on importing food. Y5 leveraged @elecfreaks water sensors and @microbit_edu to drive their designs #makered #edtech

I was particularly impressed by the differences in designs, especially the groups who worked on solving the challenges of farming in drought affected areas by designing a water conserving, self irrigating system. All coded and designed independently. Agency and empowerment!

๐ To experience the challenges faced by early space pioneers and innovators, Y5 designed & launched @microbit_edu rockets & returned them safely.
Overcoming drag & gravity, rockets achieved 4g acceleration. Ss then reflected on the attributes needed to be a successful pioneer.

6th graders designed a toll system for harbors, which would help mitigate overfishing. Created by #programming a @microbit_edu in @MSMakeCode - using radio wave signals and receivers. Boats and tollbooth built in @tinkercad and 3D printed with @ff3dprinters. @WesterlySchool
