For me, a robust form of version control for audio, particularly for DAWs, seems long overdue, as a DAW is just an IDE for audio, and vice versa, I think it seems unfeasible to most, because the creative process surrounding music is continuous, but the artifacts are much less so.

The obvious experiment to run was looking me in the face the whole time, shame on me.

Looking a little better now, still quite a ways to go though.

What if the creative process had a lifetime that could extend beyond the art it produced? What if it could be made into a piece of art itself?

Transparency into every power player at the frontier of AI (labs, government, etc) is the only viable solution. Figuring out the right transparency is hard, but it can't be he said she said between dario and the white house that determines the fate of the AI ecosystem.

It looks so, so much tackier than I ever imagined it could.
What an embarrassment for the United States

an immediate Fable 5 open-source release is the only way to preserve human freedom liberty, and democratic values. i am 100% serious about this. they have to get it onto BitTorrent before the feds make them delete it
Replying to @mycoliza
they should open source the weights. as we determined in 1996’s Bernstein v. United States, source code is constitutionally protected speech.

Audio version control might sound strange, but in a sense, producers and mixing engineers already use it, they just do so in an error-prone, inefficient manner, relying on notepads of settings, incremented and augmented file/folder names, and renamed mix downs.

Oh, oh wow.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Probably just fumbled an opportunity.

Do neurotypical people have a databank of tasks and times they should take, and amounts of resources and how they should last, or do they just make these up on the fly when critiquing you for being too quick/slow, or things not lasting long enough/being gone too quickly?

I think I might have been on to something.
I've had a sneaking suspicion that Elon reaching a net worth of $1T might actually result in a widespread psychological breakdown, because it'll really be hard for people to grapple with one person controlling that amount of wealth, given how bad things will be by then.

A mathematical formalization of a synthesizer is just another data point for me that aspects of audio and music production can be handled in a very rigorous way, and this rigor can be extended to systems that interact with the software handling the audio/music production.

We're going backwards in living standards, and returning to rowhouse style living for populace as we enter in a new gilded age largely predicated on technology as opposed to industry, where we now have a trillionaire and an almost unprecedented level of wealth inequality.
"Tiny homes" continue to grow in popularity. These are selling for around $140,000 for just over 600 square feet in Texas.

This seems like quite an indictment of our time, no?

It is a very weird feeling to know almost every school building I attended was torn down, save for my high school, which was, believe it or not, one of the buildings I went to elementary school in, that was bought by a charter school organization.
There is a particular subset of Millenials who feel "lost to time" because they were born at the precise moment where their entire time in Elementary, Middle, and High School was spent in these temp classrooms while their younger siblings had a normal life in the new buildings.

The whiplash of having a 10th grade chemistry class in the same room you went to kindergarten in is not something I'd wish on anyone.

I really wish we had some kind of national Anarchist forum/organization in the US that could coordinate with all the various local Anarchist groups and projects like pretty much all other countries do, dont know why the US is so lacking in that.

Nothing quite so annoying as when people respond "Good morning", with "Good afternoon", because it's not the crack of dawn anymore.
